Ben Lavers is an experienced competitor who has many years of swimming under his belt. He is a keen cosplayer and has been a member of the Rebel Legion, often found volunteering at charity events trying to ‘borrow’ shiny things whilst disguised as a Jawa! He discovered the Silver Sabres in 2016 and since then he has studied the blade ceaselessly, earning his wings and leading the tournament team from the very front!

His dedication has not only made him an impressive fighter, representing the academy in international tournaments, but also earned him the rank of Communications Officer for the Silver Sabres. He is a brilliant, fully qualified instructor and has been teaching his own LED Sabre class in East London since 2018, applying his patient and detailed style of instruction to guests at comicons and events, as well as his own amazing students!
